Inti Wasi se encuentra en la comunidad de San Clemente en la parroquia de la Esperanza, al sur occidente de la ciudad de Ibarra en las faldas del volcán Imbabura a 2600m de altura. En este sector se ha desarrollado un turismo comunitario y alternativo, como una forma de autoempleo y preservación de su patrimonio natural y cultural.
Inti Wasi es una experiencia de turismo comunitario con grupos pertenecientes a la nacionalidad Kichwa – Karankis, la oferta de servicios incluye convivencia familiar, participación en las actividades cotidianas y las labores agrícolas, participación en talleres de carpintería o bordados a mano; contacto con la naturaleza y la tradiciones milenarias, posibilidades para encontrar el balance físico y mental a través de la utilización de elementos de la naturaleza y la medicina alternativa. También se ofrecen cursos en Kichwa y en medicina natural.
Existe la posibilidad de participar en las "mingas" de la comunidad o visitar la escuela del pueblo. Además, hay excursiones a pie hasta el volcán Imbabura o Cubilche, y ofrece oportunidades para practicar el senderismo o montar a caballo a varios sitios y comunidades en la localidad, las posibilidades de participar en eventos deportivos y, si los/as visitantes lo desean pueden participar de la tradición de "Las Limpias "(un ritual de limpieza), que utiliza las plantas medicinales de la región.
